Round Up 2012 - bigger than ever
Tuesday 31th January, 2012.
The Leapfrog team attended the Mineral Exploration Round Up Convention 2012 in Vancouver. Leapfrog were located on The ALS Minerals booth and also sponsored a workshop event.
Round Up was bigger than ever with around 8,300 attendees from over 30 countries. There was a broad range of delegates from geologists to senior managers.
There was a real buzz around Leapfrog at Round Up this year which was exciting to see with speakers, exhibitors and delegates speaking favourably about the software and its capabilities.
We're now busy planning for the Round Up Convention 2013!
ARANZ Geo Limited appoints a new Chief Executive Officer
Friday 25th November, 2011.
ARANZ Geo Limited (AGL), developer of 3D geological modelling software Leapfrog, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Shaun Maloney. Shaun was previously the Global Sales Channel Manager for AGL.
A Christchurch born New Zealander, Shaun comes from an international banking background and prior to working at AGL Shaun was UK based, where he provided direction and stability to grow NZ technology businesses within global markets.
The AGL board are confident with Shaun’s appointment and believe that coupled with his leadership and the staff around him AGL will build on its existing strengths and accelerate forward meeting increased sales projections and ensure sustainable business growth for the company. Shaun possesses a combination of strategic insight coupled with practical execution, market and customer orientation, team focus and performance management.
“AGL is poised for rapid growth, and I’m excited to be part of it” said Shaun. “The Leapfrog products are faster, more accurate, more consistent and more dynamic than any alternative so we’re excited about where we’re heading and becoming the thought leader of geological modelling”.
New Leapfrog Mining distributor for Africa
ARANZ Geo Limited, developer of 3D geological modelling software Leapfrog Mining, announced the appointment of a new distributor for Africa, Desmond Subramani.
“It is extremely important for Leapfrog to have a distributor presence in Africa to support the rapidly increasing number of Leapfrog software users and strengthen our relationship with our African based corporate clients” said Shaun Maloney, Chief Executive Officer, ARANZ Geo Limited.
Desmond is a Principal Resource Modelling Geologist (Pri. Sc. Nat - 400184/06) with more than 15 years of experience working in Southern and West Africa for both the major mining houses as well as junior explorers. His experience spans across various commodities with the main ones being placer type gold, shear hosted gold, stratiform copper, layered mafic (PGE) and coal deposits. Desmond's key strengths are in the 3D geological modelling and the resource estimation area.
“Desmond fits the stringent criteria we clearly identified to support our key clients in Africa and move the business forward in this market”, Shaun added.

Leapfrog Mining Version 2.4.0 offers a range of feature enhancements, usability improvements and increased software stability.
